U16  Rugby  Team V Omagh High School

Great start to the new season for our U16 rugby team. A dominant first half performance was enough to secure a convincing win against our Tyrone counterparts. The second half provided the ideal opportunity for the wider squad players to get valuable game experience and prove that this squad has real depth.

It was a impressive team performance led from the front by captain Jack Wray. Harvey Sinnamon was outstanding in attack and defence and was also very accurate with his place kicking. Adam Watt, the Courtney twins and Christopher Norris carried strongly in the forwards. Man of the match James Montgomery got the backline moving nicely and was prominent throughout. The biggest cheer of the day went up as debutant prop Iman Andros crashed over from short range from a tapped penalty. The pick of the scores was finished off by fast footed winger Nerijus after the ball had been transferred through several hands in an attack which began deep in the Drumglass half.

Next up for both the U14 & U16 is a tough away trip to Fivemiletown College on the 17th October. U16 training continues every Tuesday 3-4pm.
