More sporting success in the Junior B Northern Ireland Netball league blitz today. Drumglass hosted the tournament for St Patricks College, St Patrick’s Academy and Integrated College Dungannon.

Lucy Watt confidently captained our Junior team today with clear leadership from start to finish. Lucy, as Wing Attack, along with Clara and Katelyn in the attacking triangle, dominated all the games in a round robin playing system.

Katelyn’s accuracy in the goal circle supported by the slick shooting of Sarah, secured a victory in all 3 competitive games played.

 

The unbeaten Drumglass success today would not of been possible without the defence pressure of Tilly, Mia, Chloe and Kaitlin MB. Rebounds a plentiful and quick turnovers in play put pressure on the opponents attacking play, clocking up more goals onto the Drumglass score sheet.

 

High levels of fitness and interception of our key centre court players Rylea and Louise caused havoc in the centre court dictating a fast and almost unmark-able pace.

Our Year 10 team included many up and coming Year 9 ladies who showed that youth does not affect performance. The Year 9 girls played with passion and sheer determination and without them the victories would not of been possible.
