Drumglass High School was delighted to host their annual Senior Prize Giving with Guest of Honour Mr. Philip McConnell who retired in June after 36 years of service to this school and 39 years in the profession.

Principal, Mrs. Mary Shilliday, welcomed everyone to the ceremony. She paid tribute to the school leavers, noting that they had achieved excellent results: "You have worked hard and deserve the accolades you will receive this afternoon. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and to see you grow and develop during the last five years”. Mrs. Shilliday also paid tribute to all of the staff in Drumglass and the support of parents and family.

Prizes were distributed by Mr. McConnell. Head Prefects, Alfie Blair and Zara Williamson, made a presentation to the guests of honor and Board of Governors member, Dr Reverend Ian Jamieson, made the acknowledgements at the end of the ceremony.
